Don't just leave it at that. What is his value in your mind? It's closer to 3 million that 6.

Don't forget, my proposed contract has him signed until he is 37. He might take 1 year deals the rest of his career, but they might only total 9 million...

And if that's the reason for 1 star....... In no way is that contract the backbone of my thread.

the nash signing is not the main concern; it's the trades. lots of these guys have partial or full no trade clauses. so seabrook to the canucks will not happen anytime soon. same with anisimov to the senators (nevermind the fact that it's going to take a lot more for karlsson- more picks and prospects)

Anisimov already waived at the deadline but the Hawks didn't like the deal. Would have to imagine he'd waive again. Figure if Seabrook would waive to go anywhere it would be to return to BC, close to his family. You never know with those clauses - you just have to find the right destination. Look at Phaneuf going to LA. Said publicly he wouldnt waive his clause but then management works with him to find something.

I don't think it takes "a lot more" to get EK. But if you feel it's missing something, just pretend it's there.

- Anisimov to replace Brassard
- Murphy to help plug the right side
- an actual top prospect in Debrincat
- first rd pick
* Forsling, or Krys as defensive prospects?
Who knows what the ask is or the particulars would be, I'm just trying to get the general value right.
