Description
I think the hawks are in good situation. They will draft a high caliber future dman this year in Ty Smith and trade for Faulk who brings that immediate impact at D. They also need a good, reliable 3rd line C who can play both PK and PP and be a solid 5on5 player and can win faceoffs. Another needs are a left shutdown dman and a big bodied winger. This all will be solved in 2018 when Hawks will have ton of cap space to go after UFAs JvR, Filppula and Moore. Dylan Sikura also signs and will be a 50 point player immediately. In 2019 summer, Schmaltz will have a new deal and we trade Murphy to get cap space and also a logical spot for Jokiharju who will be ready to play in top 4 and be an impact player with Forsling. Ty Smith also signs hid ELC and is going to be a really solid 3rd pairing D man and can also rack up points on the PP. Another good add is Soderlund who is a very fast, skilled and a great forechecker and really solid on PK. The Hockey News has already deemed him to be a next Arvidsson. So what do you guys think about that team? Are the trades and signings fair? Is this a cup contender? Seabrook will likely be bought out in 2020 with compliance buyout so hawks will have cap space to re-sign DeBrincat and Sikura.

none of that is happening. gonna take way more than that to get faulk, and murphy is nowhere near worth a first round pick.

Murphy is definitely not worth a 1st rounder plus you'll have to give up way more to get Faulk. Sorry.

You're way overselling Anisimov here, Reportedly Columbus only offered a 3rd round pick for him, He's not getting you Justin Faulk nor are you getting a 1st for Murphy.
