We have no need to pay a premium to get rid of Staal's contract. This doesn't make sense for us.

You guys are crazy!!! 29 n 30 for a 12ish lottery pick evens itself out. Even with overrated Zucc and a 2/3 goalie, NOBODY is taking on Staals TERM, even if it's at 1/2!!!!

Even if it does, Zuccarello is worth a 1st, at the very least. I'd rather have that first and keep 18's contract than otherwise.
