Description
If Lias and Chytil need another year in hartford
Howden gets some seasoning at 4c in a two way role
young D get ice time and time to gel
Nash is back at a discount to mentor since he didn't want to leave NY
Kovy comes over as he's been rumored to want to be in NY for a long time

top 2 lines can score enough, 3rd line matches against other teams top lines and is responsible in all zones
4th line can chip in both ways
D is young but has plenty of upside potential, Staal can be sent down/bought out/traded anywhere possible as he has proven to not be the caliber of player we're looking for

This is good but Kovalchuk is a right handed shooter and Lias and Filip will likely be NHL ready by next year

Too many 3 year deals for your RFA's you'll have then all become UFA's at the same time. Spooner may do 3 but Hayes & Vlad will get 4 or 5 & Skjei will get locked up for 6 or bridged at 2.

No interest in bringing Nash back, especially not at 3 years, i think this breakup needs to stick. Would rather bring back Grabner or use the cap space to take a bad contact back (Bobby Ryan, Brandon Dubinsky) in some sort of Macr Staal deal.

The dollars on Kovy look right but i'd hope the rangers pass on him.

Don't think Smith will get moved, he was passed over by 30 teams, don't see anyone giving anything up for him. He's the Rangers reclamation project now & he's not looking so good in Hartford either ...yikes.

According to CAPFRIENDLY, Staal has a NMC so he can't be sent to the AHL.

Howden & Hajeck play in Hartford , Chytil & Andersson, will probably make the big club, if not, having them all play together in Hartford (along with Day) is fine by me.

I think Zuc gets moved over the summer & they bring in a more seasoned back up goalie for a year & let Gerogiev play a lot of minutes in Hartfrod. If Hank gets hurt, the kid comes up & starts.

Where did NYR pick to get Boqvist? I think he plays in Sweden for at least another year. He's a bit on the small side.
