Don't hate it, but I have a couple issues with this:
    - You could probably get that Sharks trade done without the pick. In fact, they should be the ones adding a little.
    - Overpaid Emelin and Tierney
    - More of an opinion, but I'd like to move on from Jaro and make a run at Raanta, Dell or Bernier. Our defense hasn't done the goaltenders any favors the past few months, but Halak allows too many "soft" goals.

I get your point on the Nelson/Tierney trade. Tierney is 23 and on pace for a 40 point season and is more inclined to sign with the Sharks than the Islanders. I view it as worth because he could grow into the 2/3C role Frans was in, as he kills penalties and is good defensively.

Is Emelin going to take a big price cut on the open market? I don't think so considering how strong the Nashville defense is. He will get paid somewhere, and would be a good defense only type of guy to fill De Haan's spot.

I have no clue what to do with the goalie situation haha. I'd take Raanta, but not sure on price and term.
