Description
I think Cole's a depth D-man or a number 6. I don't really like him. He's a penalty killer, blocks a lot of shots and can be a puck mover. Other than that he's mediocre. Oleksiak, is a cheaper better version of Cole. Cole has been a healthy scratch many times. His value's a 4th however Minnesota doesn't have one so Vegas 3rd (a late one) will do instead. I feel he will be on some team with an alright D core, playoff contention or a team with a 3C. He's 28 and a UFA next offseason, he's a rental.

You said hes a penalty killer....blocks a lot of shots.....and can be a good puck mover.....How much more do you want from a 2 mil/year d man? score 85 points per season?....
However I agree that his value is somewhere around a 3rd or 4th round pick as a rental with potential to bring more return with a sign and trade or part of a package.

Uh no. He's dosen't pair well with anyone but Schultz and has issues with Mike Sullivan as well. He isn't going to get a raise but he's a number 6 or 7 on not very stacked pens d core. He also takes these stupid penalties. I dare you to look at PIM and it's not very good. He's doesn't fight so they're all minors. (Hooking, slashing, tripping) He isn't over payed so that's good. He's been a healthy scratch too.

A 3rd or a 4th is what he is worth. He is more value as a depth dman to us than what we will get unless a team is willing to pay for a sign and trade. If we got a player back it would be a Sheahan type, which is either a really good 4th line C or a 3B Center.

If we got a player back it would be Cullen and a 6th. 4th line centre would work as well.

I Dis agree with you guys I think he is worth more then that I think he is worth more then a 2nd with no letang last half of the year he played top 4 and was a big part of winning the cup and look at the past D rentals they fetched a good amount teams like to have 8 D and D always go down in the playoffs and he can play top 4. If his valu is a 4c or 3-4 pick he is worth more to the pens that that and they should keep him
