Well it take more than a Bozak on an expiring contact and the rest.

Yeah only way this gets done is if Bozak has a negotiated extension done. He did play his college hockey there so may be a spot for him.

Well the Leafs who are in contention for playoff run aren't going to allow another team to negotiate with one of their players. What happens if the Avs and Bozak don't make a deal? Then Bozak has to play his last few months with a team that doesn't want him. These sign and trades are really futile. Still I don't see what is in for the Avs, keep Barrie and sign Bozak next summer.

One of the top producing defensemen in the league over the last 5 years, and doing even better this year, so you'd probably be buying high.

Barrie is kind of under the radar because he's been toiling away with a poor team, so it's not easy to pin down a value, but it would take better than offered here.

Maybe Brown and Carrick. Scoring forward and a RHD that can fill a spot while they are waiting for their big prospects to make the jump at that position.

I'm not sure Toronto is the best fit however. Barrie is elite offensively, but he's a risk taker and questionable on the other side of the puck at times. Pairing him with Gardiner or Reilly is probably a bad idea.
