Description

LA needs more offence and Toronto needs a shutdown defenceman.

That's why I'm swapping the Two Jakes.

Gardiner could help Doughty (on a separate pairing) push the LA offence.

Muzzin could provide that shutdown presence that the Leafs are desperately looking for in the NHL.

It's a deal that helps both teams right now.

I threw in a 4th rounder because Muzzin has an extra year on his deal.

Gardiner is worth just as much as Muzzin, potential and all.

Muzzin is a great shutdown defenseman, but he also has only 1 less point than Gardiner. Plus the contract difference, Muzzin is worth way more than a 4th and a one dimensional D-man in Gardiner.

Jake is far too inconsistent for the Kings to take on for their playoff run. I don't think the Leafs even try to resign him in 2019
