It would look good having playmaker mikael backlund playing alongside sniper max paccioretty also it would be nasty having max paccioretty playing alongside gaudreau and Monahan on the pp. For Montreal they get a solid prospect Dillon dude and Sam Bennett who's coming back to form the 1st rounder and 3rd rounder sweeten the deal. I think mark jankowski could get a lot of points playing alongside tkachuk

From a Habs fan, I'll take that deal. I'd rather take Lazar and Jankowski than the picks ... and maybe the Habs could send Byron back to the Flames (thank you for sending him to us). Pleks would also be a solid help for the playoffs.

Unless the name coming back is Crosby, Matthews, or god forbid McDavid there is no way CGY can afford to give away anymore picks from this year or next.
the way you've structured it, we now have ZERO picks in the first 3 rounds of 2 consecutive drafts. That would kill the franchise.

Way too much to give up for pacioretty. Bennett might finally be gaining confidence. Dube looks like someone who can really help the teams 3rd or 4th line as soon as next season and the picks are just too much. Maybe bennett would be a start to a deal but no way jankowski or dube is dealt
