Hawks fans have repeatedly told Oilers fans on this site that they would not trade anything for CC, as a matter of fact it would take a 2nd round pick being attached to him in order for the Hawks to even entertain the idea.

Well now FA has started and Chicago went out and signed eight players including two d-men, there is no longer the roster space or cap flexibility left for the Hawks to make this deal… they still wouldn’t pay for CC even if they did have the flexibility to do so.
