Description
Rob Blake took the chance to drastically makes this team worse when there were ALL the chances to do some very good moves...
I have no idea how we should be able to be contenders with that team...
How the hell did we end up with Edmundsson, and Ottawa is throwing Chychrun over board for a 3rd rounder and Jensen.
Then we signed Jeannot and Foegele... All those 3 players for combined 10M AAV. WTF?!

Where is the goalscoring we need?
We strongly need to consider to keep a Kaliyev who is unwilling as never to play for this team after last season, because Rob Blake thought he doesn't need to add scoring?

At least get Tarasenko and save the day and then the f*** resign from your job.

OTT declines, Kaliev is not worth a 2nd or 3rd, at most a 4th round pick

I mean they improved in net and they shouldn’t get pushed around as easy, they are already a very skilled team but they needed to become tougher.

Did they overpay sure they did

But if they see Edmonton again in playoffs the additions of foegele/ Jeannot/ edmundson will make things much harder for them.

Foegele was an underrated xfactor on their playoff runs.

I’d say run Jeannot on line 3 with moore/ Danault he’s solid defensively and could create a solid shutdown line with them, danault and moore are also an improvement over Trenin/ Sissons who he previously succeeded with so maybe he can gain his offensive spark again especially against easier matchups.

I do think tampas lack of depth and Nashville lack of depth in his finals season their didn’t help Jeannot to get over his slump

I wasn't happy with the Gavrikov/Korpisalo trade (I think that we could have outbid Toronto for McCabe), but I could live with it.

I wasn't happy with the Gavrikov extension, but I could live with it.

The Pierre-Luc Of-The-Woods debacle was disastrous, of course. We could have had Kempe - Kopitar - Vilardi, Moore - Danault - Fiala, and Foegele - Byfield - Tarasenko (or Arvidsson if we'd offered him what he wanted and settled for from Edmonton), plus the second for Durzi, a second for Iafallo (at the time), and a fifth for Kupari.

There's a good chance that the Kings won't do as well this season as they did last. At least we have our 2025 first.
