I like the idea behind the Simmonds trade. Simmonds is worth at least a 1st and a top prospect on a contender (Howden), whether you could get another first and a decent prospect for Weal (who isn't setting the league on fire) and picking up Callahan's contract I dunno, might be a stretch.

The second trade is ridiculous though, you're trading 2 established players for guys with less talent. Sure Giroux is older than Galchenyuk but it's not an upgrade. Ghost is one of the better point getting D in the league. It's a big backwards move when we're not in need of a fourth 1st round pick. Well already have one of the best farm systems in the league.
