Cowan is their best prospect. Almost 2 pts a game in junior. Add in a 1st, Niemela and sweeteners, and there's quality. What else would you expect in a return?

Why do the Sens do this though? It doesn't address their needs.

They need vets who play a 200ft game and defensive defenseman who play RD.

Niemela ain't it. Cowan is a good prospect, but unproven in NHL, and Sens already have alot of young forwards in their ranks.

They'd be giving up their only young, top6 RW, on a good contract to boot. And retain???

I also don't get why the Leafs do this either, as they have Nylander and Marner on the right. Why get a RW to play him on the left? They tried playing Bath on the left a couple years ago, didn't go great.
