Might take more than a late in the round 2nd, TWO drafts away to dump Mikheyev.

He is a 4.75mil 30 pt scorer, who doesn;t do much of anything and hes under contract for 2 yrs. In a league where NYR cant dump Goodrow and PHI cant dump Atkinson (even at 50%), both of which I think have more value than Mikheyev, I think you;re stuck with him for that little on offer

And the UFA signings look very light

Just to be clear, Mik has been much closer to a 40 pt or more guy through his career. Playing with an injury slowed him down this season. Also kills penalties, forechecks and has top tier speed when healthy. Still, ot super appealing at that cap hit, you're still selling him a little short.

I don't think he gets moved in a straight cap dump deal though. They'll want some kind of return, a gamble probably, but not a pure negative.

Top 6 is weak. Depending on Hoglander and Lekkerimaki is asking a lot. Plus, if one doesn't work or gets injured... then what? Need to sign a quality winger.

His high in pts in his career is 32 pts, he has scored over 30 pts twice, 31 and 32, but thats closer to 40 pts?

You're paying a 30 pt player 4.75mil. Either hes injured too much or hes a 3rd liner, either way hes overpaid for that production and with 2 years left his value is pretty low

32 points in 50+ games is well north of a 40 pt average. The only season hes come in short is the last one, you know, if you're into math/stats.

And if you're into math, hes never played enough games to reach 40 pts, so calling him a 40 pt guy is pretty ridiculous.

Again, a player who has never reached 40 pts is not a annual 40 pt player
