What I want Staios to do this Off-season

This is what Id want Staios to do this off-season. Check previous post for what I think he will do this offseason

Forwards:

I think this team needs to get bigger / more physical and needs more experience. Bring in vets like Brandon Tanev, Cal Clutterbuck, Nic Dowd, Pierre-Édouard Bellemare and to a certain extent Dakota Joshua and Tyler Bertuzzi.

Bertuzzi brings that Skill and violence that is needed in the top 6, other then Tkachuk the top 6 is kind of soft. Bertuzzi is a lot like Tkachuk but is an elite puck retriever , will help that 2nd line. Giving up Norris is a risk but I think is worth it.

The bottom 6 gets a massive upgrade, especially the 4th line, I’m confident that 4th line would be the best in the league, Defense and Physical wise. Also Nic Dowd also gives a scoring touch as well. That Bottom 6 will be a pain to play against, high compete , high tempo, high intensity. A perfect bottom 6 for a playoff team.

Defence:

D needs to get bigger and meaner as well. Brining in Chris Tanev fits the Big RHD hole we need to fill, a paring of him and Sanderson would be up there with the best in league. Calvin De Haan an Ottawa native (which I think we need more Ottawa native players on this team) will add more veteran experience. De Haan plays a reliable defensive game and can play the right side if needed. Also gives a buffer for Kleven if he isn’t ready.


Goaltending:

I think we need to replace both options.
Markstrom is the best option in my opinion, has term, but is more expensive then the other options, but the other options also play infront of better defence. Brining in Stolarz will add a great backup option.

Overall:

I think these moves makes this team a top tier team in the league and hopefully makes them not all make the playoffs but perform well in them.
