Description
This is closer to the Rangers' moves in the past. Trade and overpay for a star player, don't use him right, sign a cheap forward off the scrap heap and then sit him for Glass, and oh yeah, go over the cap that I generously put at $75m. Fleischmann and Schlemko signings can be replaced by any cheap winger and defenseman.

    Like your explanation. Even forgetting the draft picks...Still over the cap and 2 players short. Love the Defense too. In a cap world the Rangers have all ready three three star salaries.....Lundqvist, Nash and Stepan. Probably not room for more. But some Rangers fans still think Stamkos and Yandle are playing for the Rangers next year.
    Look at the Pens.....their top four players making 32.3m. Look where it has got them over the past five years and where it's going to lead them in the next five years.

    I couldn't even re-sign McIlrath (just realized this).

    With him added on a reasonable deal (he would make more than Schlemko) they are even more over the cap.
