I'd rather just trade for Laine and run him at RW, Zacha at LW, and get Elias Lindholm to save on assets and gain a top center, which we need.

A pending FA doesn’t have that type of value and the concept of giving up Lysell to get a first in the future seems odd. I’d rather offer CBJ Ullmark for Laine at that cost.

1. Columbus likely is one of the last ones either in or outs of his no trade list

2. I don’t view most late first rounders as 2nd line potential guys.
