smith has value, depends what u guys want. imo hes worth like a solid second but if u guys are going to not eat cap good luck tbh. some teams will 100% try to add him at the TDL

I could see him getting a third half retained at the deadline if he has a bounceback season

even if he doesnt have a bounceback season i just cant see a world that any team whos on the edge or in the playoffs dont look to add a 40+ point player who plays solid during the playoffs and has tons of experience to play at worst 2PP and 3rdline winger mins. would take a team only like a 3rd and 4th to get him on a super cheap cap hit at the TDL and all it takes is 1 injury and a team will def call

i think the Pens want to move him before the start of the new season and may except a 4th or 5th just to GHTFO

tbh if u want to move him before and not eat any cap ur gonna have to just give him away, i could see a team like Chic or Cbj taking him to try to boost there top 6 and just move him at the TDL. I think its smartest if u hold on and try to move him at the TDL for a younger player
