I’m not worried about cap space with this

Just curious on what ppl think about this. It is rumored that NJ is willing to move number 10 overall pick for the right price, aka a goalie.

From a Blues point of view trading Binner would indicate that they have faith in Hofer to take over as the guy. Trading Binnington is a double edge sword, I think they should def consider it but I don’t think it’s necessary this offseason. He is arguably the greatest Blues goaltender ever, certainly in my lifetime. I would hate to see him go but I would understand why they did it. You have to maximize his value. I don’t see him finishing his contract here and his value will most likely never be higher.

Before Devils fans come after me for this proposal you need to think about something here. Your window is open now and you need to strike while the iron is hot. He was a top 5 goalie this year and should’ve been a vezina finalist. Ik the common fan that doesn’t watch him every game hate his antics but he really didn’t do any of that last year. Believe whatever you want but he’s learned from the past and picks his spots to fire his team up. You guys would be lucky to have this guy and he would make you an immediate cup contender.
