    Like the Chychrun deal
Dislike the signing of pearson and arvy though. Also Marty is most likely retiring but def wouldn't hate him back on the blueline for cheap.

Someone brought it up earlier this week, and I thought it was interesting. If you can give RV the Connor Brown contract (which he is eligible for), that's probably the most cost-efficient middle 6 winger we could sign.

Pearson would just cheap depth (like our Lewis signing), except he'll probably not feature nearly as much. Is Marty retiring? Havent heard anything on that front. Feel like if he was, it would've been announced already like some other guys who have come out.

Why is everyone wanting to sign older ex-kings back? That idea failed last year with Lewis and it will fail again with these aging guys. They won't bring back any of the 2021-2014 magic that team had. Chychrun is no different than Gavrikov, so why is LA trading anything for him.

Replace Pearson with any vet, point is they're gonna add cheap veteran forward depth because as fun as it is dreaming of a 4th line of AHL graduates, it probably isnt happening.

Chychrun and Gavrikov are not remotely the same profile of player, what. Our blueline has been one of the lowest-producing of all playoff teams. Adding in Clarke helps, but I mean he's still going to get minimal icetime. You can sign a cheap shutdown 3LD, and you already have Mikey as another shutdown guy.

Need some playmaking and mobility on the left too.

LA need to get big and physical on the back end to play against McDavid and others. Chychrun isn't that guy. If you want to move Gavrikov for an upgrade somewhere else sure but Chychrun isn't an improvement on the backend. I'd move Gavrikov for a winger upgrade and sign Zadorov bit pair with either Clarke or Spence. But LA needs to let Clarke and Spence play their natural offensive games and not hold them back in the 1-3-1.

You could get a vet for the 13th forward role but he needs to have grit on sandpaper to his game. LA only needs to find a spot for Turcotte and Thomas. One can be on the Danault line and the other on the 4th line. But the other spot needs to be a sandpaper guy.
