As good as draisaitl is, that's a ton to give up, and then you lose flexibility because he's taking such a chunk of the cap. I'd probably go a different way to add to the roster.

I really have no idea how to gauge his value. He's obviously a force offensively, and I figured an overpay would be the only way to do it without giving up one of the other two centers. Removing one of Savoie or the 2024 1st probably still gets it done, right?

I just don't think he's worth what Edmonton wants. I still truly think his value is being inflated by mcdavid. Not worth trading a starting goalie, top 6 wing, top 4d, top prospect, and 11oa. That's enough to get the better center in mcdavid if he were ever available.
