The Kings deal is an overpay by RHP. But I don't think that Los Angeles is interested in trading down. The Kings would probably like one of the RWs that will be available around #21, and would probably like to have their choice instead of being left with what's left over at #26.

Agreed, thats probably more value than "needed" to move up 4-5 spots after the middle of the order in the draft where its less obvious whose actually gonna make it in the NHL. I thought RHP had better stats tbh, I remember hearing his name quite a bit in the handful of Habs games I watched, might also be one of those guys that passes the eye test but never gets the stats to back it up, so I would pass too. Need guys that can put the puck in the net in a bottom 6 position.
