Other than the fact there’s no way they make this many moves, overpaying in multiple trades is not a good way to build a team. Your plan is essentially to chuck about 40% of last year‘s roster. No successful team has that much turnover in one season.

Honestly, that's a much better team. The bottom 6 is vastly improved- adding veterans with grit and defensive awareness. The top 6 loses Quinn, but gains konecny. The defense adds a couple vet right shot d, the kind that play defense and aren't afraid to play in the mud. It'll never happen of course, for the current gm to make that many moves makes it look like he was asleep at the switch for his first few years on the job, I would expect a couple moves to sorta address these holes, but nothing this drastic.

I think VGK would want more for Roy, who is a great fit there, but I admittedly don't know much about Neuchev.

Also think you're selling yourself short on Skinner. He'd fetch quite a good return retained 50% for three seasons. Not sure BUF would want to do that but he'd be an attractive option for teams trying to add to their middle-six without a ton of cap space.
