That values Holtz less than what NJ should value him. I kind of view him as Jersey’s version of Lysell. He’s got enough upside that it isn’t worth trading him for what other teams will likely value him at. They only do it if they believe someone is appropriately valuing him

Fair enough. I just think the goalie market is barren right now, and Ullmark will generate somewhat of a bidding war between two or three teams. I think the Devils would rather have Ullmark on their team signed to an extension rather than Holtz next year. The 1st round pick is the starting point in any deal for Ullmark.

Could swap Holtz with DeBrusk to balance the lines. I just want Poitras and his playmaking ability surrounded by shooters.

A line with an average size of 5'11, 180lbs... that's the exact opposite of what we need. Poitras should be with guys who can create their own space and take shots.
