No 20 man roster is “genius”. There is no chance Lindholm is signing a 2 year deal, let alone one for $5.75 million. He’ll likely sign longterm for $7.5+ million.

Also, Kulikov is a 3rd pair defenseman on the back end of his career. No thanks. I’d rather have Joseph than him. Lastly, Ned can get a better deal and probably a better opportunity on the open market.

yeah not much genious about this tbh. The Penguins want to get younger and youve managed to make them even older somehow.
Lindholm WIllget 7M PLUS on a 5-6 year deal. Zero chance he signs a short term deal with a team that didnt even make it anywhere this season that could be career suicide for his next contract. At his age e will be looking fo the most term for the most money. If he was looking to sign a lower amount and lower term it would be to a team that has a good chance to win the cup so his next contract would be even more then the 7M he would get now, Not sure why the Pens would want Kuli and again at his age hes not gunna want to sign a 1 yeat deal. Hes gone back to back deep in the playoffs with the Panthers that will put a premium on him. with the cap going up , dont be surprized if you see guys like Kilikov signing 2.5M-3M deals for 3 years.

Jake Guentzel wont be returning to the Pens and The Pens would be dumb to do that and lock in another high price guy. This team in the next couple years will be looking to rebuild. They wont want Guentzel on a long term deal at almost 10M. which will be unmovable as he declines a he gets older and id immagine that would hae to come with a NMC for Guentzel to sign it.

Youre probably pretty close to the value for Ned. He has an average season but the ending would boost his value just a bit. I would expect him a tad bit lower. In the 1.5-2M range.

Edit: Just look at what happened last year and thats not even with the cap going up last year. Schenn signed for 2.75M multi year , People were saying in Toronto Holl was making to much money on the leafs he goes to Detoit and signs at 3.4M multi year. So id have to immagine Kulikov would be JUST Below schenn around 2.5M mimimum with the cap going up

You’re wrong. Not only is he simply worth more than what you’ve allocated for him, this years UFA center market is weak. He’ll do fine in free agency.

Sur he could have played better , but the teams will look at hes having a very solid playoff for his ice time. they willl see the downfall of calgary in general. I believe Lindholm is a 65 pt guy solidly. I compare him to a guy like bertuzzi . Lindholm has an advantage because hes a centre. Hes also had a 40+ goal season 2 years ago.Bertuzzi to me is a 50-55 pt player. Bertuzzi is expected to get in the 6-6.5M range. I dont see it being farfetched at all considering Lindholms playoff numbers are actually good that he cant get 550k-1M more then Bertuzzi... expecially with the centre advantage. Thats why I believe we will see Lindolm signing a 7M deal.not a 5.5M deal
