Yeah blues decline. We need Parayko a hell of a lot more than Marner. Also the blues don't do NMC/signing bonuses or big salaries so I highly doubt Marner signs with us

That's insane. 100 point player selke finalist and Parayko is getting paid till his late 30s. You guys get younger, we shed some cap space. That's a win-win

Blues love Parayko and his contract and he's our best defensemen. Marner is a great player but the blues will not be paying him what he wants. If he wants to sign at 9-9.5 mil and take a paycut then maybe but I doubt he does that. Also our defense isn't great so removing our best defensemen makes it a lot harder to improve in that area. Marner is not a fit for the blues

In what world is taking on Marner "shedding cap"?

The Blues do not want Marner. And Parayko is very much not available.
