SURE the Sabres are going to trade you three key elements of their future in exchange for one season of Mitch Marner.

Maybe the fact that concentrating 57.5% of the permissible cap in 5 players doesn't work -- a 6-year experiment that even the Toronto brain trust seems to have acknowledged has failed -- has escaped the Buffalo front office's attention, and now that Marner is a short-termer, Buffalo will take him off your hands and give you what you should have been assembling in the meantime.
