One year of Ullmark is slightly closer to “Euphoria” than two years of Allen. I guess it’s alright. But no goalie alone fixes our blueline or prevents injuries.

Strategically, it probably makes more sense to try and trade Ullmark to another market where he can’t impact you so readily in the playoffs. If an extension gets him to consider the west, I’d prefer to trade him there if I’m blunt.

Seeing Jersey acquire Markstrom at his age and contract might be worth taking a tad less. I don’t understand that deal at his age and remaining contract

That said, this deal is fairly obvious if you can work through minor issues

I’d think Clarke would be a good fit as a sort of Drouin replacement for dirt cheap cap wise.

I’m not an expert on the Avs prospect base but I’d assume the next target would be a cheap LD?

Hatakka or Bahl could fill that role potentially as a 3LD/7D at a very low cap hit
