Comeau should be able to get more than that and you expect Gonchar to cut his wages by 80% I just don't see that happening, and the Phil Kessel trade that's ludicrous we can't keep going without 1st round picks. I do however really like your skinner trade and think it's really close to being fair value, and like the idea of bringing back TK.

Gonchar is 41 years old and is not at all what he was being paid for Canadians. he is more of a locker room/7th D-man guy.
And atleast with giving away these 2 1st round picks you know you are getting an elite RW for several years, its not like they are being thrown away.

I agree he's not what he was but could probably fetch something around 2 mil still and yeah your getting someone who's somewhat elite who will be there for several years but who's also a bad locker room presence.

well he was on a maple leafs team that relied heavily on him. wouldnt worry about that if a deal like this ever happened. think a fresh start would change his attitude

Fair enough you can't argue with his talent hopefully your right and by taking the pressure of carrying the team off of him changes his outlook. Great Discussion you were able to change my mind lol not many people can do that lol.
