The Islanders add, a great deal. But this isn't the trade that would happen. If the Islanders are thinking of making some moves because let's face it, they are old and not trending in the right direction, I think futures for Pullock make more sense. If I can make it work to get Pullock for Brodie, Niemela and a collection of other assets, thats a trade that makes loads of sense for TO. Moving Willy doesn't make sense. It just makes it so this team will have so much trouble scoring that any improvement in defence is washed.

Then a 3rd or 4th somewhere, too.

Niemela I would prefer because I think he's still 2 seasons away from being an NHLer but his potential is extremely high. Liljegren is top 4 right now so it makes sense to try to keep him. Brodie would also have to be included though to make the cap work. But you can likely flip him for more assets at the deadline. B
