terrible trades for jersey and vegas. and why wouldn't the canucks just sign Kane as ufa instead of trading tanev to get him. having patches for one year isn't worth Nylander

Is resigning pacioretty against the law?

Also, midround picks are the definition of useless. Trading a 4th for a guy is essentially getting him for free. Getting a guy in the last year of his deal who you can flip for a pick 3 years from now is the same

Not that bad of trades for either team tbh. Depending on the season Bogo has it might be, but I'm almost certain that he has a bounce back year with Housley.
As for Pacs, that trade definitely makes Buffalo worse. Nylander will be ready for a top 6 role by then and baptiste for a bottom 6 so that is definitely not worth the 1 year of an aging pacs.

For expiring UFA contracts you have to assume that they won't resign. What reason would pacs have to resign here?
