This is why Gibson hasn’t been traded. Ducks don’t want to trade him for spare parts while teams don’t want to give up anything good because of how bad his stats have have been the past 3 years.

Buffalo in a nice spot to recreate a bruins type tandem with a little patience, it’s not a overpay for Gibson, but the 6 million per going forward could turn bad, much rather gamble on the 3 headed monster for now, and possibly adjust in 6 months on the fly with Comrie sold off for a pick and upl upgraded to a goalie with some more experience and possibly another year of term beyond this year. Possibly even a rental helly and revisit the backup role in the off-season. Just don’t want a anchor this early in the build.
