I get that but salary needs to go the other way. Rutta + Granlund = 7.75MM which is about what Karl has after retention.

No, I don't think they will. Hence why Karl is still a Shark. I don't think they will get what they want and thus I don't think he goes anywhere.

In my trade it's a 1st, a young NHL ready dman, and a B goalie prospect. I don't think they would take it, but it's the most Pit would offer.
