Martinez is still a stud who's next contract is going to be a lot lower. Eats shots for breakfast, has great leadership, fantastic defensively. Would fit perfectly as a 2nd pair for the Canucks. He's way better than Graves.

Yeah I 100% agree with you, he's also 35 and has a history of injuries and luckily played most of the games this year but that isn't the case every year.

We just bought out OEL, we easily have the money to take Martinez. He'd be right into our top 4 as well. Plus a draft pick. What argument can you have against the value of that trade?

Plus what draft pick? We give a 4th rounder for 5.25million dollars on a 35 year old who will probably play 50-60 games . What other LHD will we rely on then to play top 4 minutes?
