Why is Montreal doing any of these other than maybe the Eddy trade?

Eddy trade is ok value wise

Habs have too many LHD and LHD prospects for Smith to add any sort of value and Allen and DeSmith have similar value anyway so Pens don't need to add.

Mantha isn't needed and Montreal aren't competing so adding him adds nothing and if you are considering him a cap dump then it costs a 1st (see Monahan trade)

Dvorak has value around the league, somewhere in the late 1st to a 2nd + 3rd range so not only going to get a 7th for him
