ok that was well put but let me say this in as a counter point to your no no no no no. This trade is for the future and lets you make a real run at JT next off season and still sign the players you need to.

O'Reilly is probably going to be named our Captain
And even if he's not...
we aren't trading him for Zibanejad

And you'd have to sweeten the pot to get us to take Nash off your hands

Tavares might not even make it to UFA
And if he does, we have no clue he'd sign here

So we aren't giving up O'Reilly for a HUGE "what if"
