Yeah, I don't think this is realistically possible. I think a bunch of contracts are possibly short. Nurse, Benning, Slepyshev, Caggiula, Brossoit, and Draisaitl may all be higher. Maybe $.5M each. 6 x $.5M = $3.0M. If they all want $.5M more Edmonton would be $3M over cap. Meaning they have to save some big $ somewhere. The only remaining moveable contracts are Nugent-Hopkins and Kassian. Klefbom and Larsson are steals, so trading them would be a definite backward move. If you trade Nuge for someone, I'm not sure you can get fair value and still save $3M. So they have to hope to get lucky on some of those contracts or unload Nuge & Kassian, or Nuge and let one of the other contracts walk away. Possible returns for Nuge: Radko Gudas, Brendan Gallagher, Boone Jenner, Erik Gudbranson. some would require some prospects or pick coming to Edmonton as well to even things up due to some short contract lengths (Gudbranson & Jenner).
