Description
Obviously this team wouldn't look exactly like this, because you would assume with Seguin and Hamilton the Bruins draft position from previous years would've differed and they may have not gotten certain guys. (Pasta and McAvoy especially)
However, let's say this is a general idea of how this team would look. Not a terrible look, especially the top-6.

Also, the McQuiad deal, not necessarily Vegas, just a cap relief situation due to belief he would be a guy gone had Seguin and Hamilton stayed.

Rather have what we have now. Not to mention, with Seguin and Hamilton we probably finish slightly better and we'd miss out on McAvoy. Big rabbit hole to go down by acting like trading them never happened.

We took a step back to take 5 steps forward. 5 Years from now we'll be the powerhouse of the league and have an 8 year window or more. If those trades don't get made we have less coming up in the future. You have to redo the Lucic trade and Boychuk trades too and you have to factor in that we probably wouldn't have won any more cups because the teams who won are STILL BETTER THAN US WITHOUT THOSE TRADES.

These type of mocks are foolish, wait 2 to 5 years and you'll be blown away at what Bostons got on their roster and in the minors. I'd say theres not many teams drafting as well as us, I'm not going to look up anyone, but off the top of my head only really Anaheim sticks out as crushing the draft better than us recently. Guy's like O'gara , Grzelcyk, Sherman and Johanssen have just as good a chance to make it as Benning did as late round defensemen. Cehlarik, Bjork and Heinen all look like future NHL gamers who were late picks. That's not even plugging in our 13 top 2 round picks since 2014, some of which already made a big impact, while others are coming up behind them. It's time to put the Seguin in Boston thing to bed. It's done, I'm glad it's done, he hasn't won anything in Dallas paired with one of the top 10 forwards in the league and a stud defenseman, until he wins like 3 cups I'm going to be glad about him leaving and the retool we had which is going to make us so much better than what we would have been capable of being in the first place. The results will speak for themselves when we win another cup in 6 to 8 years. I'm pulling a Bill Foley and guaranteeing a cup in that time lol. It's gonna happen once the kids get their legs at the NHL level.

Agreed again. What's with you making perfect sense all of a sudden??? Except for predicting cup, that is always a dangerous game. But we WILL be very competitive!!!
