Description

The two players in the trade are both players I'd argue should be moved. This is not because they aren't good enough, but because they won't have a roster spot by the end of the 23-24 season. The only question is which teams would shop them and aren't taking them as cap dumps.

The trades don't have to be during the current offseason either, I'd even argue both players would be easier to flip by deadline.

You will have an easier time moving Wennberg with his limited trade protection and contract. Both players are quite underwhelming and although I'm a fan of Schwartz, he just isn't really that easy to move. Full NMC this next season with another 3 years for a guy that has posted mediocre numbers over the last few injury riddled seasons, which is also an issue. Also note that he was a -17 on a team that was +33 I find is also problematic. You could likely find a home for Wennberg since he is a centre and only has one year left at a somewhat reasonable cap hit. I could see Detroit being an option even though I have recently shot down a trade of him going there, I'm just personally not a fan.
