1. I'd like to keep kulak for the playoffs he's on a great deal, big body and tough. He's what you want on that 3rd pairing
2. Arizona wants futures and I'd prefer we trade them instead, trade them our second next year+ lavoie as he has no room in the lineup and foegele for cap

Ghostbear price will be a 1st with retention, unless you get the deal at the last minute ala Vanek.

Kulak term isnt attractive, Zona wont take that contract without incentive. Kulak is fine on the ice as an option but you are being done a favour to make the cap work and removing years of term. Just look at the Tyson Barrie situation. He was a cap dump despite having a great season. Thats called leverage. I tried to explain this to Oilers fans. I dont understand how some Oilers fans still dont get it and think Kulak has value. When Barrie has no value with term, you think Kulak has value lol
