Why not do this at the deadline

Montreal has no use for Niemeläinen

So get rid of Niemeläinen and the 5th but then add a 3rd round pick and It might be a deal

Trade value aside, we Foegele retained will bring as much as Dadonov retained...nothing of value.

Edmonton needs to shed the Foegele deal to make it work though. I didn’t think Montreal would have the appetite to take him on this year but next season on the last year of the deal and with the expiring contracts you have you’ll have a spot for him and then trade him at the deadline. Niemo we could just stash in the minors if you don’t want him just thought you’d want a 7th dman for the left side.
