actually the tanev trade seems like one of the few reasonable tanev trades posted. though after the harmonic trade, and what he returned, I'm sure the Canucks would want more. why trade bozak for kruger and retain too? leafs

The Kruger trade is just to provide a bridge for Gauthier to recover from his leg injury before he assumes 4th line role and lets us shift Nylander to center. Doesn't have to happen at the start of the year and could be more of a trade deadline acquisition. I know some people think Nylander is going to be on the wing long-term but I would note that on the Marlies, Nylander performed much better once he switch to center and I think he did a good job in 2015 in the position as well. Given the cap situation I don't think we can afford to bring Bozak back long-term. The return could be higher in terms of the pick Chicago gives for the cap relief.
