If they keep one of mcquaid and k miller, there is a really good chance they keep k miller and not have a 2.75/yr guy as their 7th dman

Minny is not trading Brodin now. They might have rather than risk losing him for nothing. They protected him he isn't going anywhere unless they get an offer they can't refuse...and that isn't it. That's laughable.

Why is everyone trading for a LHD THIS YEAR? We don't even need one, Chara is a top pair D and Krug is a top 4 D, both of which play over 20 minutes a night. Chara could drop a minute of toi a night this year and Krug could stay the same and that'd only leave 16 something for the 3rd pair LHD. Joe Morrow could manage 16 minutes a night IMO. If we really need a LHD, it's not going to happen until next year, if and when Chara is gone. Even then we may not need to acquire anyone because Zboril and Lauzon will have a year of AHL play under their belt and O'Gara and Grezzy will have 2 years. Any of which could step into a top 6 role if they work hard. I don't think we protected Kevan Miller just to trade him. I think he's a big part of our team going forward because he's proven he can be a reliable force on the 3rd pair and then if injuries happen he can step up to a top 4 role easily. He's also a great PKer. McQuaid is the guy gone IMO. I don't like trading something good to get Vegas to take Beleskey. Just put him on the 4th line and get him some confidence. We don't need more cap if we're not bringing in a big ticket Item if we get rid of McQuaid and maybe Hayes. I don't like your lines very much. JFK needs to have a very good camp to start at 3rd C. I like Cehlarik, but I envision Bjork beating him out. Williams is a good buy at that amount so I like that. Hayes is playin' if he's stayin'. No way Jacobs lets 2.3M rot as the 13th F or 2.75M worth of McQuaid rot as the 7th D. He'll insist that those guys play so he can get his moneys worth, or they'll have to be moved even if we have to give up more than we are getting. This team is a business to him, he's not a Hockey guy he's a business man and he won't take that type of blatant loss of money by having a guy being paid a lot and not even playing him.

Darn, I forgot to rate and now the stars aren't showing up. I would have given you a 3 because this is average IMO.
