Description
Assuming Girardi and Staal refuse to waive for expansion or a trade, buy both of them out. Holden does have some value for a team like Dallas who's weaker on the left side, especially for a year at $1.2m. Raanta picked in expansion, and sign Smith & Franson.
Plenty of cap space if Zibanejad/Fast/Lindberg/Smith raises cost a bit more.

    This is the most realistic Rangers 2017-2018 team there is. Fans don't understand how contracts and clauses work. Trade Stepan for Faulk and trade Staal for a late pick to sign Shattenkirk it's ridiculous. Nice work you put it simple

    Understand what you're saying, but anyone can post team as is. Might as well throw ideas around. Barely any trades anymore anyway. But as a fan, especially big market NYR, we can't be stagnant. Magic Gorton better start acting like pens gm Rutherford. He has to shake things up, no choice. Most of these trades you're talking about are certainly unrealistic. At least when I trade them I take bad terms back. VGK will most likely select in this order, according to P Maguire, Lindberg, Fast, Grabner, Holden, Raanta.

    Can't afford buying out both, or any really. Girardi will waive, maybe even Staal. Many will, like Bieksa... Holden has value, no need to retain. Franson getting slower while NHL getting faster. We need fast thinking/moving d and bigger cahoonas up front! Clendening is not top 6/7 nhler, it's not just AV.
