- Detroit declines the Faksa trade

Stars are going to have to pay a team to take Faksa

- Dallas declines the Gurianov trade

Gurianov already has a fresh start with Dallas firing Bowness. He was one of the most mis-utilized players in the NHL last year and that should all change this season, regardless of who gets brought in as head coach

- Carolina declines the DeAngelo trade

There's zero value going to Carolina. For a guy that just had arguably the best season of his career (and is entering his prime), Carolina is going to want the kind of return that a young top-4 defenseman should get
