Description
Is it not going to happen? yes. Will everyone who sees this say that all the trades are declined? yes. Did getting Galchenyuk AND Kadri, the two best Leafs of all time that aren't named Wendel Clark, feel good? Abso-fricken-lutely

1.
TOR
  1. 2022 3rd round pick (TBL)
  2. 2023 6th round pick (CBJ)
CBJ
  1. Kase, Ondrej [RFA Rights]
2.
TOR
  1. Fiala, Kevin [RFA Rights]
MIN
  1. Tavares, John
  2. 2022 3rd round pick (TBL)
  3. 2023 5th round pick (TOR)
  4. 2023 6th round pick (CBJ)
Additional Details:
5th and 6th go to whatever team is willing to retain half salary. Who would do that? idk honestly, probably Seattle because they have the space and any picks that become roster players will have their ELC end at the same time as the 5 mil retained salary goes away, but thats the best I can think of right now
3.
TOR
  1. 2023 5th round pick (BUF)
  2. 2024 3rd round pick (BUF)
BUF
  1. Muzzin, Jake
Additional Details:
Buffalo is barely going to stay above the cap floor without signing the literal worst value contracts in sports. Muzzin's cap hit should help stall the issue until Buffalo can get proper value contracts to actual players
4.
ANA
  1. Anderson, Joey
  2. Mrázek, Petr
  3. Scott, Ian [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
Anderson and Scott both fit the Anaheim timeline way better than Gibson and could maybe even be found on the roster in like 4 years if They're lucky. Mrazek is (lets be honest) more of a cap dump that shouldn't sting Anaheim too hard in the future and could also maybe possibly potentially hypothetically bounce back? (He wont but Anaheim won't know that)
5.
TOR
  1. Georgiev, Alexandar [RFA Rights]
  2. 2024 4th round pick (NYR)
NYR
  1. Abramov, Mikhail
  2. Kerfoot, Alexander
Additional Details:
This trade is mostly for cap and draft picks. No sugar coating it, that's all there is to it.
6.
TOR
  1. 2022 5th round pick (EDM)
  2. 2023 3rd round pick (EDM)
  3. 2023 5th round pick (EDM)
EDM
  1. Georgiev, Alexandar
  2. 2023 6th round pick (TOR)
Additional Details:
We can all agree that Edmonton is more or less frothing at the mouth at a goalie that isn't Koskinen or Smith, and skinner has yet to really take his step into NHL goaltending, so this should make sense. If not, just use your imagination and change the draft picks around until you're happy.
7.
TOR
  1. 2023 6th round pick (NSH)
NSH
  1. Clifford, Kyle
Additional Details:
you could switch Clifford with Simmonds if you were reeeeally nitpicking the cap or if you want the grinder who actually wins the fights they get in, but imma stick with this.

mmm yes give the team with the worst cap hell in the league one of the worst contracts.
5 mill retained is gonna cost more than that, teams get 4ths for 1.25 retained

2nd line is a lot better. Gibson shoulder return to form with a much better team in front of him. 3rd line is a little bit of a question mark. Could be great or struggle and leave the top 6 shouldering the load. Thank you for giving Sandin and Liljegren a full time spot in the lineup. Getting youth on the backend will be huge.

the first trade is kinda fair for Kase value but Columbus only wouldn't do that cause they're full of depth wingers
last trade is also reasonable, Nashville likes tough guys

The Gibson trade should be entered into the CFACGM Hall of Fame in the worst trade of all time wing.
