Description
Before you freak out, look at back at the O'Reilly trade. This is pretty much the same package the Avs got for O'Reilly. If they don't at least match it, keep Duchene. Don't trade him for nothing. The other play going with Duchene could be interchangeable, just another nhl body to fill in NYI roster.

I don't see Beauchemin with the Avs next year. Buyout/retirement/trade for low pick and salary retained. Don't care. Avs try to get Fleury from Canes for 2 high 2nd rounders. Avs 2nd round picks never pan out so maybe Canes will have better luck lol.

Not bad, I think you're on to something with the Islanders trade but should target flip the values on Dal Colle and Lee. Avs and Isles too honestly, would be better served by putting more value in the non-NHL assets headed to COL and allowing NYI to retain its immediate NHL talent. That's what they need in order to keep Tavares around and make a push.

The Carolina trade IMO is a no go though. The Avs are so asset poor that it doesn't make sense to send two high value picks for a guy whose value has consistently diminished since his draft year and looks to be a very real threat for busting entirely.

Value is too rich on Wiercioch. The Avs have scratched him for weeks and he's unlikely to be retained at this point anyway. Devils could probably get him for free.
