Description
C - Dylan Cozens
A - Rasmus Dahlin
A - Alex Tuch
- OR -
A - Girgenson
A - Okposo
* I think there will be a changing of the guard next year. They mall roll with Girgenson and Okposo for another year until their deals expire and giving Cozens another year to grow into the role.

Draft:
#5 - Matthew Savoie, C/LW (Winnipeg Ice)
- I've seen him all over the place in the top-10, but the dude has so much skill. Currently plays center (at least that is what I've seen him listed as), but I have read he projects as a wing.
#8 - Conor Geekie, C (Winnipeg Ice) *trade with NYI - 2022 1st (FLA), 2022 1st (VGK), 2023 2nd (VGK) for 2022 1st (NYI)*
- The Islanders are an older team that doesn't have a ton of talent in the pipeline. If their window is really closing, they need to restock the cupboard. The Sabres can offer them picks to move up this year, plus futures.
- As for Geekie himself, he is big (6-4) and has plenty of skill but is a really solid two-way center. Seems very similar to Cozens in terms of size and style of play.

I went off of draft positioning from http://www.mynhldraft.com/NHL-Mock-Draft/
- I would imagine the team goes forward-heavy early. I doubt they trade up but it is fun to play around with as I have them with a ton of draft capital. I could also see them taking Ivan Miroshnichenko because he has a pro-ready frame and shot and is a power-forward that they lack.

"Josh Allen looks good in shorts". As a Bills fan, I wish Josh Allen would look (play) better in a NFL uniform on Sundays.

Instead of worrying about getting to the cap floor by acquiring LTIR Seabrook, shouldn't the Sabres fans and players be rewarded with real hockey players to get them over the cap floor?

I think Allen is the least of the Bills' problems. He can't help that he has a guy in his lap before the end of his drop, but that is a conversation for a different day.

At this point the Sabres have made it pretty clear that they are going to build from within by drafting, developing, and promoting. I believe most Sabres fans are on board with that and we don't really want them to go throw money at players when it doesn't make sense with the timeframe of a rebuild. With Power, Peterka, Quinn, Krebs, Samuelsson, and maybe one or two others most likely being ready for full-time roles next season, there won't be much room for free agents as they want those guys to get as much playing time as possible.

Not saying the Sabres should be signing expensive long term UFAs, but certainly there is room to sign a few quality guys to help the transition of the young guys. To leave 18m in cap space seems to be a slap in the face to paying fans.

assuming florida and vegas’ firsts are mid 20s at least, i wouldn’t have much interest in that trade as the islanders. maybe if buffalo’s 2023 first was included instead of one of those two picks? but that’s a massive downgrade in quality of prospect.
