- Not a lot of changes from year one to year two, other than the core of the team is a year older and they are ready to make a run at the Cup
- Patrick Kane comes home to give it one last go at a Cup. He sits on Wright's wing and Tuch moves to the second line to give the team a potent second line.
- Cozens becomes a 1C while Marner continues to shine on his wing. Krebs takes another step and becomes a strong goal-scorer himself
- Dahlin takes another step and becomes one of the league's elite defensemen. The rest of the young defensemen come into their own.
- The Sabres have plenty of draft picks to deal or to continue to strengthen their system.
- After another year, Henrique and Zuccarello will come off the books and free up over $10m in cap space and allow the team to make other moves

This whole exercise is fun and not realistic, but a man can dream.
