There's no way Colorado settles for that. Also, Vegas won't take a 5M contract in the expansion draft.

If Cody McCormick magically healing himself and regaining 2 years of lost time at the highest level of the game is part of the next step, Sabres are screwed. With the Expansion draft though Las Vegas has to average 2.5 to 3 mill a player on their roster so they will actually need to take some 5 million dollar guys, so theyre going to have to take some of the best of the worst contracts. I think Bogosian or Ennis would fit that more

Agree with Bwells. Vegas only has draft 45m with 30 thirty players. Later they can make trades or sign UFAs to get to the 55m opening lineup.
Although they might take some high end contracts, many folks on this site, think Vegas is going to take "their teams" high priced duds, which certainly statistically isn't going to happen.

The Colorado trade won't happen. They want D, a 1st rd pick and high prospect and I doubt they take Ennis and his awful cap hit and Kulikov will probably walk into free agency. I love the idea of getting Alzner but not Bishop. Murray has his guy. Ullmark will probably be the back up next year. I like the LA trade but I don't think LA has the cap space to take on Kane and Bogo.

Vegas is going to need to get to 65 million with a 20-23 man roster. You think LV is going to be able to turn a bunch of their cheap, left over players they got with expansion picks into 5-6 million dollar players on fair contracts? They're better off taking flyers on players that have-had potential, which led to their big contracts, if they know the coaches system will help the player realize that potential.
